A Collision of Stellar Proportions
Author: Mark Watson
Cool was the day when the sun Came into the earths life. Like a crisp fall morning with a Chill in the air. The frost was upon the earths Exposed skin, uninviting to the touch. The morning soon warmed golden Light everywhere, as the life of the Earths soul began to stir. The warmth of the sun burst off The morning mist. The sun warmed the earth to a level Thought unknown. The seas of passion Burned inside and were sent to The Sun unconditionally. And at no Time from this point on was the liquid of the earths side allowed To flourish any other puddle; It was for the suns taking. The transfer of fulfillment became Complete, as the sun and earth Burned brightly in the sky. Two stellar Hearts beading together as one, Their warmth felt by all. And From this stellar crash of hearts Came another; another that Promised to be more bright than Ever known before. Though it is the path of destiny That is out of the hands; a loss Felt so great that shattered this Universe of tranquility. And as fast as the sun rose to Warm the land, it fell from sight, Eclipsed and black shadowed, the Earth lost its sun, and the earth Fell from the suns heart. As this vicious parody unfolded, The light eclipsed from the earth, The sun no longer shined. The Life was sucked out of the earth, It began to wither and die. The earth in pain overcame its Hurt to face a new day without Its sun. The earth drew the Missing light from itself, that it Learned from its beloved sun. Years have passed, the earth has Healed. And like a new day, the Sun again brings new life over the Horizon. Memories of yesterday in Every ray of light. The earth unsure, been burnt Before, shields his eyes from The warmth of her on his stem. The earth must decide whether To lower his protective hands Over its heart to allow the Sunshine to warmth, or turn His back the opposite way to Reach for a new horizon. And if the earth turns its Position away from the sun, It always knows it will feel the Warmth of the sun on its back, And the earth will always be there To guide the eternal sunlight.
